This is lesson 5 of a set of 10 lessons that cover 4.6.1 of the new GCSE AQA Biology curriculum. It follows the Oxford book chapter 13 in its chronology. Each lesson has an interactive PowerPoint, a pupil worksheet(s) linked to the work in the PowerPoint and a linked past paper question with mark scheme. The PowerPoint has a starter that leads on from the previous lessons learning. The Student worksheet incorporates the learning in the lesson. The worksheets can be used to show progress and/or be cut up and stuck in books to avoid unnecessary diagram drawing etc. and use the time for deeper understanding. The lessons can be bought individually or as a bundle for the lot.

This resource contains 29 quick quizzes I have compiled for the AS AQA new Biology course. Each quiz has 10 questions of varying difficulty and then the answers. There is a linked excel sheet to record results and instructions as how to link the PowerPoint to the excel sheet (can be used without linking to the excel sheet as a stand alone resource too). The PowerPoint contains 29 quizzes spanning the whole AS course with questions and answers and an integrated results sheet to record the results from your class and a handy macro will rank them in order depending on their average through the quizzes. From the menu screen you can skip to any quiz and return back to the menu. Great for starters, plenaries and revision throughout the year.

GCSE PHYSICS - Learning the SPEED Equations

Since the declaration that GCSE Science pupils wont be able to use equations sheets in future exams, I have been thinking of a system that will help them learn the equations and help staff in facilitating that learning. I have devised this. It is supposed to be used as a starter / plenary for pupils to go over and over and try to implant the equations over time. I will use it in every lesson, parrot fashion for success! This is not board specific as they all will need to learn them, and can be used for the current legacy GCSE students too as a revision resource. This is the full PowerPoint, but a free demo version only has the questions for 'Acceleration' questions, but you will get a good idea of what the paid product will be like. The GCSE PHYSICS Speed Equations full can be found in my store. It has questions on SI Units Questions, Speed/Distance/Time (v=d/t), Acceleration (a=v/t), Force?mass?Acceleration (F=ma), Kinetic Energy (1/2 m v^2), Wavelength/Frequency (v=ƒ λ) and Momentum (p=mv) HIGHER TIER Only. There are another demos and full powerpoints on Energy Equations and Electricity Equations on my page. I have used the template for my ABCD cards for this endeavour, but you don't need those to utilise these PowerPoints. Enjoy.

The PowerPoint is interactive and not linear so you can jump to any sets of questions from the home page and do them in any order. If you would like to have a look at what it looks like there is a free demo that just has the SI questions. These take some time to make, but I will group the other equations together as I have for the energy equations. I have used the template for my ABCD cards for this endeavour, but you don't need those to utilise these PowerPoints. Be patient, I'm going as fast as I can. Enjoy. *If the person who bought the previous version (without the Specific Heat Capacity) leaves a comment with their e-mail, I will send you this newest version)

AQA GCSE Science (Physics Aspect) Required Practical Tracker Bundle

(1)
I have put together a complete system of resources that will allow staff to easily record and monitor the required practical aspect of the new GCSE science that is replacing the old ISA coursework. The resources include Whole Class Practical Tracker, Pupil Cover Sheets for Each of the Practicals (10 required practical sheets) and an 'On-The-Day' Practical sheets (again one for each of the 10 Physics practicals), for the teacher to use in class during the practical to record the Apparatus and Technique (AT) skills that each pupil has to be competent with in Physics. This bundle covers the 10 required Physics practicals for the Combined Science and Physics GCSE's All of the resources compliment each other, use the key coding for assessment to reduce workload and make things easy. I have mirrored the A'Level AQA Practical Assessment for the AQA GCSE, it just seemed logical so that the systems are similar. I have bundled these resources so that it is more cost efficient. If you wish to see how the bundle works and see some screenshots then the instructions are a free download on my page. Enjoy.

This spreadsheet can be used to collate the ISA grades for Core, Additional, Biology, Chemistry and Physics ISA's. The sheet will calculate the grade achieved from the 2015 AQA grade boundaries. It will also do a count to show how many pupils have achieved A* - G in each piece. There is enough space for 250 pupils in the core and additional and 150 for the triple science. The grade the pupil gets will RAG change colour with regard to what their target is. Enjoy and I hope it helps. If you like have a look at some of the other spreadsheet resources I have in my shop.

Dinosaur Project - Resourced with Lesson Plans, PowerPoints and Worksheets

Bespoke resource that was originally written as a science project based curriculum for year 7. It could be used in primary for a project based activity that should take at least 10 hours to complete. It covers ecology, food chains, fossils, predator prey relationships. classification and adaptations of animals for survival. Lesson plans, PowerPoints, & worksheets are all included. There are some simple practicals (like making a fossil included). My pupils loved this project.
