This is lesson 3 of a set of 10 lessons that cover 4.6.1 of the new GCSE AQA Biology curriculum. It follows the Oxford book chapter 13 in its chronology. Each lesson has an interactive PowerPoint, a pupil worksheet(s) linked to the work in the PowerPoint and a linked past paper question with mark scheme. The PowerPoint has a starter that leads on from the previous lessons learning. The Student worksheet incorporates the learning in the lesson. The worksheets can be used to show progress and/or be cut up and stuck in books to avoid unnecessary diagram drawing etc. and use the time for deeper understanding. The lessons can be bought individually or as a bundle for the lot.

Biology A' Level Assessed Practical Cover Sheets (Pracs 1 to 12)

These are the student cover sheets that describe which AT (assessment techniques) that will be assessed for each practical. The grading criteria is the one that is used in the official AQA Biology tracker and my own improved tracker that is based on the AQA tracker (you can download it free from my page). The sheets are generic and in Word format so that you can amend or add your school crest on if needs be.

AQA GCSE Science (Chemistry Aspect) Required Practical Tracker Bundle

(2)
I have put together a complete system of resources that will allow staff to easily record and monitor the required practical aspect of the new GCSE science that is replacing the old ISA coursework. The resources include Whole Class Practical Tracker, Pupil Cover Sheets for Each of the Practicals (8 required practical sheets) and an 'On-The-Day' Practical sheets (again one for each of the 8 Chemistry practicals), for the teacher to use in class during the practical to record the Apparatus and Technique (AT) skills that each pupil has to be competent with in Chemistry. This bundle covers the 8 required Chemistry practicals for the Combined Science and Chemistry GCSE's All of the resources compliment each other, use the key coding for assessment to reduce workload and make things easy. I have mirrored the A'Level AQA Practical Assessment for the AQA GCSE, it just seemed logical so that the systems are similar. I have bundled these resources so that it is more cost efficient. If you wish to see how the bundle works and see some screenshots then the instructions are a free download on my page. Enjoy.

Science GCSE 6 Mark Question (6MQ) Writing Frames PowerPoint

This resource has 9 6 mark questions to help with the notoriously bad sucess students have with these questions There are 3 biology examples - photosynthesis, reflex arc and food tests. There are 3 chemistry examples - copper sulphate salts, LCA evaluation and rusting. There are 3 physics examples - density, resistance in a wire and refraction. The PowerPoint has a generic section about how to complete a 6 marker, glossary and then each example has a student sheet and the powerpoint has hints to help write them and then the mark scheme. The PP is fully interactive and you can navigate through the PP with ease with movement keys.

GCSE PHYSICS - Learning the SPEED Equations - FREE DEMO

(0)
Since the declaration that GCSE Science pupils wont be able to use equations sheets in future exams, I have been thinking of a system that will help them learn the equations and help staff in facilitating that learning. I have devised this. It is supposed to be used as a starter / plenary for pupils to go over and over and try to implant the equations over time. I will use it in every lesson, parrot fashion for success! This is not board specific as they all will need to learn them, and can be used for the current legacy GCSE students too as a revision resource. This demo only has the questions for 'Acceleration' questions, but you will get a good idea of what the paid product will be like. The GCSE PHYSICS Speed Equations full can be found in my store. It has questions on SI Units Questions, Speed/Distance/Time (v=d/t), Acceleration (a=v/t), Force?mass?Acceleration (F=ma), Kinetic Energy (KE = 1/2 m v ^2), Wavelength/Frequency (v=ƒ λ) and Momentum (p=mv) HIGHER TIER Only. There are another demos and full powerpoint on Energy Equations and Electricity Equations on my page. I have used the template for my ABCD cards for this endeavour, but you don't need those to utilise these PowerPoints. Enjoy.

AQA GCSE PHYSICS / TRILOGY Mastery Booklets for the 8 Teaching Topics

(42)
I have put together ‘mastery booklets’ that can be used for independent study for pupils to use after a section of the course has been covered. They are designed (with past paper questions and the answers) for the students to complete themselves. This is to help them gain a deeper knowledge without impacting on teacher workload. All the teacher needs to do is record when the students have completed and annotated the booklet. I have split the 8 sections into the topics for the paper 1 and the paper 2 - the 8th booklet is just topics for students taking GCSE Physics. These could be used for cover work and revision before the exams. Hope they’re useful, if they are please leave a positive review. Harret
