Looking closely at the scary stories genre, the genre worksheet is designed to work with the story Winter Pruning by Chris Priestley from the short story anthology Uncle Montague´s Tales of Terror. For the characteristics sheet, I viewed lots of youtube clips of genres and looked at book covers to get the students to fill in the characteristics.
