Model text of 251 words based on George’s Marvellous Medicine with a character focus (mean grandma).
Story also presented on ppt/google slides with pictures.
Can be used as a model text example to work on character description and/or instructions for making a potion. Then as a format for writing a whole short story.

A written version of The Papaya That Spoke for use as a Talk 4 Writing model text in Key Stage 1. Emphasis on dialogue - speech verbs, punctuation, new speaker new line. Text includes ‘power of 3’ adjectives and similes.

An art lesson to explore and learn about different painting tools, techniques and effects.
LO: To explore how paint can create different effects
Slides with success criteria, an exploration task, a video from Kapow to explain the different techniques, guided task on how to create the different effects and plenary discussion questions.
Resources needed: paper, sketchbook, paint, palettes, water pots, spatulas, cotton buds, sponges, sand.
Can be a stand alone lesson or a good preparation lesson for another art piece. E.g. see my ‘Grant Wood farming landscape paingints LKS2’ lesson.
Short story inspired by ‘Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx’ linked to Ancient Egypt topic learning. Planned for Year 3, Term 1. Suitable for Y2-4.
Grammar - noun phrases, adjectives and prepositions for sessing description.

Super fun to teach with actions. Innovations on this have been pirate themed and alien themed. Both produced great results from the children.

A collection of 19 myths and legends from around the world. These are around 250 words each in length. They were created for Year 3 to learn and retell for an oral storytelling lesson. They could be used for many purposes in Years 1 to 6.
Slides to present the learning for Inspire Maths Year 2 Practice Book 2A on Place Value. Includes online resources, games and independent tasks to reinforce the objectives as follows:
