A PowerPoint that takes students through the historical context of the play, and the events that take place before the play begins. It also introduces the students to key characters and contains questions on the first two pages of the play. There is also a research extension task on the last slide. This resource also comes with a loom recording of the PowerPoint slides. In this recording I talk through the slides and go over the answers to the questions.

This resource contains a full, formal lesson plan on symbolism which can link to any set text being studied at IB or A-Level. The lesson uses the poems Ozymandias and Caged Bird for the students to explore. This resource comes with a complete accompanying PowerPoint presentation. I have also attached a video of me talking through the poem ‘The Three Fates’ which could be used as an extension or self-study task.

Library reading record

A resource to help structure your library reading lessons. After finishing each book they read during library time, students then complete one activity from the booklet. This silver award has 10 different activities; meaning that students must read at least 10 books before being able to achieve the Silver award. This resource works best if it is kept in class and only allowed to be used during library lessons. This is a fully editable Microsoft Word version.
