Book Terms and Meanings Cut Out and Matching Activity (ESOL/EAL/ESL/EFL/Literacy/SLD)

A fun matching activity in 3 styles. Match the terms about books (author, blurb, index etc) to their meanings either by using the colour or black and white cut out cards (designed in a random order to let the students do the cutting without getting the answers!) or on a standard worksheet where they just draw a line between the terms and their meanings. Written for entry level ESOL or literacy learners as a starter for a lesson on reading, books or types of text, I find it works well as an introduction to books when starting on library work, books reviews or reading schemes, If you'd like more reading based activities check out my other reading resources in my shop here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/islaflood
