4 Weeks Planning and Resources: I created these plans for my Year 5/6 class in order to build their discussion and inferential skills along with collaborative working. There are 4 weeks, the forth week is based on writing outcome. Cross-curricular: Build your own robot Computing- algorithm,coding and programming. Scratch: interactive stories/animation

A one week guided reading lesson plan based on ‘The Magic Paintbrush by Julia Donaldson’. It focusses on vocabulary development, text discussion, text analysis and comprehension. A three-week planning scheme with resources. Excellent for teaching a story from another cultures. Look Back! is about the relationship between a grandmother and her grandson as she tells him about her Caribbean childhood adventures in search of a mysterious creature called Ti Bolom. The rhythms and repetitive patterns of Caribbean language are a rich component of the story. Suitable for Reception and KS1. Could also be adapted to for Lower KS2.
