Maths KWL Chart KS1

16 KWL Charts. I used these resources while teaching Year 2 (prior or new concept). They were useful as they helped the children (all abilities) to think about what they already know about the topic and what they would like to know. In the beginning, I had to model how to use the KWL chart and by the end of spring the children became skilled at filling them in and using their KWL chart to jog their prior knowledge and to think about the things they would like to know. Some used it to ask questions. I used it as an assessment tool to inform my planning (identifying gaps and task differentiation).
