Four practice questions, each containing two texts and three complete exemplar essays, for Paper 1 (questions 1, 2, and 3). The exemplars included are of a Level 5 standard. There are 8 texts and 12 essays in total included with this pack. Each essay is approximately 600 words in length. The texts cover multiple genres and periods. The questions can be used for mock exams, and the exemplars as a useful feedback tool. Each follow the standard English Language A Level Paper 1 mark scheme available from AQA’s website.
Lord of the Flies: Revision SoW GCSE, Higher level. A well-designed and detailed exam revision scheme of work for eight big lesson plans, optimised for online teaching. The lesson plans are designed to be divided over eight weeks of lessons. This SoW assumes that the novel has been read, and understood to some depth previously. However it is possible to use this plan alongside reading-based activity lessons, while teaching the novel for the first time. All sections refer to the attached PowerPoint presentations, which contain knowledge breakdowns and can also act as handouts.
