Aims to improve speed of calculations and fact recall as well as testing different parts of the specification. There is a mix of question styles to add variety and the quiz is split into lists with different numbers of questions to try and balance with the difficulty of the questions for splitting amongst a quiz team. Answers are provided along with recommended timings, providing opportunity to work on speed of response and experience with time management to prepare students for exams. The purpose of these ppt is to randomly order 5 physics formulas that the pupils need recall. There are 5 formulas from across the syllabus that are randomised, so it makes this PowerPoint ideal for a starter or short mini test for all abilities. The readme file contains a list of the formulas being randomised. Every time you initiate the start button it will randomly order the formulas. The slides are kiosk locked so you can only advance by using the action buttons and follow the instructions on slide 1. You can exit the PowerPoint by clicking the ‘stop’ button so you can choose how many formulas you wish to test. You can reveal any part of the formula and ask pupils to complete the rest or simply complete everything on the slide. Note: The ppt is editable if needed but be aware certain slides cannot be deleted or the macro will not work.
