ISA OUSTANDING - OCR Rhythms of the World- KS4 - 8 Exciting Lessons / Worksheets / HW Tasks / Audio

(1)
In this thoroughly rich and exciting skills/knowledge based topic, students will journey to learn everything they need to succeed in this component of the OCR Listening Exam. The SOW is structured in a logical and cohesive form to ensure students progress. Each lesson contains a range of knowledge re-call activities, mini listening tasks and assessments, as well as practical activities to embed through performance. Each of the eight lessons can be taught as a 1-2 hour session, depending on how long you wish to stretch out the practical activities. For example, a practical activity looking at the concept of ‘Rhythmic Displacement’ could just cover basic Syncopation but could be extended to include addressing ‘Free Time’ and ‘Rubato’ etc … This is a highly researched SOW which has taken much time to create. With colourful and high quality presentations, worksheets, homework tasks and over 60 audio extracts all included, you will not need to produce any additional resources for this topic. All slides can be edited, and I would encourage any teacher to look carefully through the resources before teaching each lesson ensuring that any changes/differentiations unique to your class have been made. INSTRUCTIONS This resource pack has been created using the FREE ‘Google Suite’. Once you have downloaded the pack, you must extract the zipped folder. If working on a Mac, just double click and this will happen automatically. If working on Windows, right-click and press ‘Extract-All’. You will then UPLOAD the entire folder to a FREE Google Drive account and open the files using Slides and Docs. Powerpoint versions are also included, but the formatting is changed and presentation quality is slightly reduced. Alternatively, in the folder titled ‘Lesson Presentations’ there is a PDF Document with clickable links to all the resources’. For any support, please contact me through TES and I will be happy to help.
