Here are 2 versions of self assessment tasks I used for my students in Resistant Materials to encourage them to reflect on what they had done and what they needed to do. The success criteria for the lesson you create can easily allow for more or less challenge. There is also some Welsh in the document in case you are in Wales!

I used this in a KS3 textiles class to encourage creativity, learn about the design process and how to create initial ideas and regenerate them via the iterative design process. Would work in any technology class really. Students enjoyed the freehand work and explaining to the class how they changed the original Van ~Gogh to be an expression of their own style.

This is a full lesson that explains the history of a sandwich and preps pupils for their practical activity of making a healthy sandwich. It includes evidence of curriculum cymreig for those in Wales, if not needed just change or delete the words.

This is a presentation for teaching about healthy eating, specifically nutrients and protein. It is a fully lesson with starter, main and plenary. I do have a written plan available to upload on request for inspections and trainees to use.

This activity can be used during any part of the lesson. My students found it fun and they were also so good healthy competition and learning opportunities between groups.

This is a fully differentiated worksheet/ activity that can be used in a variety of ways such as collaborative group work, individual task, starter, assessment of prior knowledge etc. There are basic sections written in Welsh too as I worked in a Welsh school, I can translate if necessary but the whole task is written in English. Students really engaged with this task and enjoyed reading out the passages once the task was complete.
