This worksheet is based around the new specification for English. It includes discussion, reading and writing a News Blog.
The discussion aspect is done when talking about the story of Little Red Riding Hood. The extract comes from the book"Today Everything Changes" by Andy McNab. This is a short 105 page book about the authors early life.
Could also be used with KS3.
Would make a good cover lesson.
This resource gets students to research and write short speeches. It can be used for EL2 to L2. I used it with lower ability post 16 students but can be adapted for higher ability.
A powerpoint with notes and links to videos. one is survivor stories and the other is a 30 minute clip from a BBC documentary chronicling the events leading up to Kristallnacht
For low ability and SEND students. something they probably know how to do but can they explain it to some one else. This could also be used for a discussion.
These are good to consolidate or build up skills with lower ability learners. They can be for secondary or primary students. Can also be used as homework booklets.
The themes were for a specific student.
A short presentation to teach the bus stop method of division, I used this with students in Yr 11 who still could not divide. I use my white board pen to complete the examples on this but you can change that if you want.
