These are good to consolidate or build up skills with lower ability learners. They can be for secondary or primary students. Can also be used as homework booklets. The themes were for a specific student.

A short presentation to teach the bus stop method of division, I used this with students in Yr 11 who still could not divide. I use my white board pen to complete the examples on this but you can change that if you want.

I have adapted this from an old Food Tech lesson I used to do, catering on a budget. This would also be good for Life skills. It is aimed at post 16 students but could be used for 14+ students. I have left it so you can alter prices and budgets. Prices are from Supermarket websites. The recipe book for the meals is included in 3 files that can be stapled together with your own cover.

I have used this to help young people with learning difficulties consolidate their maths skills. The young person I originally developed these resources for loves the Music. Could also be used at primary level.

Functional Skills Maths worksheet on time and time intervals The worksheet is vocational based, painting and decorating, and covers basic costing of work. Could also be used for cover lesson, as part of a lesson or for a GCSE class. As an extra you could get students to work out the area of the walls taking out the area of doors and windows.
