Taught in France for 15 years before moving back to the UK. Have now taught for over 37 years. Was Director of Learning for English for 8 years. I was then assistant head in a school where I line managed English. I then took on the role of Lead Practitioner for English. Since this I have earned a reputation for turning round failing English Departments. I have excellent expertise in designing English curriculums KS3 through to KS5. Was GCSE examiner for Eng Lang & Lit until 2012; am now a senior A level examiner for Eng Lit. Final post was HoD (English) in a small private school in Reading. Have always loved teaching teenagers. Bilingual. Retired since May 2022.
