Fractions on a number line for halves and quarters worksheets

(1)
Two differentiated worksheets for showing where halves and quarters are on a number line. A great visual worksheet for introducing children to where halves and quarters are placed on a number line between whole numbers. The two worksheets included are differentiated, with the more able having to fill in more blank spaces on the number line.

Questions and Commands Presentation and Worksheets

A PowerPoint presentation and 3 differentiated worksheets on questions and commands, ideal for a SPAG lesson or general English lesson in Year 2 or Year 3, or revision on questions and commands in any year group in KS2. Activities and questions are clear and engaging, and are useful for teaching children about when to use an exclamation mark or a question mark at the end of sentences. Some questions also ask to turn a command into a question, and vice versa. I recently used these worksheets for an observed lesson in a mixed ability Year 2 class in which children enjoyed completing and made very good progress, with the lesson being graded as ‘Outstanding’

Multiplying two-digit numbers by 10 differentiated worksheets

A great visual resource for children to use a place value grid to multiply 2-digit numbers by 10. Two differentiated worksheets are included, one with more support and explaining how to move the digits one place to the left and use a 0 as a place holder in the ones column, the other with less support for more able. Includes a challenge/extension activity at the end of each worksheet for children to multiply 2-digit numbers by 10 mentally without using a place value grid. Could be used in Year 2 or 3 for introducing multiplying 2-digit numbers by 10 using place value.

3 differentiated worksheets for multiplying numbers to one decimal point by 10. Very useful when introducing the topic using place value grids as visual support, ideal for Years 4, 5 and 6. The worksheets are differentiated by support and challenge, with more support and examples given for less able, and all worksheets include a challenge where either pupils need to multiply by 10 without using a place value grid or multiply numbers to 2 decimal points by 10 for the more able.
