#### Electromagnets (with magnet revision)

(1)
This resource was made for my Year 8 class, they loved that the learning mat matched the power point and really felt like they were part of the lesson. The lesson covers magnetic materials (with a code breaker starter), it then moves onto a magnet, asking questions in a show what you know style, then an interactive section on what is attracted to magnets and rules of attraction and repelling. We then talk about electromagnets, what they are, how they work, how we can make them, what we do to increase the strength and lastly where electromagnets are used. I love this lesson and it has gone down a treat with my classes. Hope it works for yours too :)

#### GCSE Physics equations

(1)
Here is a document that has all the physics equations required for the AQA GCSE course that students need to learn. There are 2 sets per sheet. The equations are split into topics. As a homework i set that students have to find the word equations and units of each symbol. They were also to RAG the equations to help them find the gaps in their knowledge. Hope it helps :)

#### pH Scale lesson

(0)
Focuses on getting students familiar with the scale. I did this the lesson after neutralisation, it lets the kids get involved in competition and instils the pH scale into their heads.

#### Strong and Weak Acids

(0)
GCSE Year 10 Strong and Weak Acids Incorporates practical, practice question, model answer and activity worksheet. Really enjoyed teaching this lesson.

#### A Level Physics OCR - Booklet 1

(0)
A booklet to give to students in order to help them make notes. My Year 12's love that they are being trained up ready for university. They go alongside the handbook.

#### Atomic Structure GCSE Unit

(0)
Atomic Structure GCSE Foundation level unit, could be used with higher if stretch and challenge is added. It worked really well with my group.

#### Learning review for atomic structure

(0)
Helpful for combined science as a short review for the lessons on atoms, isotopes and nuclear radiation

#### Fundamentals of Sound Waves

(0)
This a brief overview for a Year 9 lesson on Sound Waves, covers all the general aspects but doesn't go into much depth. Hope its useful for a lower ability class! My group loved all the little activities. Complete with exam question and independent tasks. Also opportunities for self and peer assessment with the AfL tasks that are included.

#### Forces Part 1 Scheme of Work

(0)
Forces scheme of work, used with year 10 Combined science groups. Plenty of power points and activity sheets to help you.

#### Black Body Radiation, Infrared, Visible Light and Sound Waves + Homework for EM Spectrum Intro

(0)
For a 1 hour lesson. Phones/ipads/laptops/internet access required. Register plus settler/starter (of your choice) and get kids into groups of 3 (10 mins) 1 child from each group focuses on 1 of the sections in expert groups (15 mins) Goes back to original group and they all teach each other (25 mins) (5 minutes) in original seating plan/compare with another group to improve your answers. (purple pen time) (5 Minutes) packing away.

#### L1 - Introduction to Lenses (plus expectations)

(0)
Introducing lenses with a reminder of ray diagrams, self assessment and refraction.

#### Alkali Metals Practical Observation Sheet plus Word search starter

(0)
I used this with Year 8 and Year 10 (who needed a reminder of the group 1 metals/ just wanted to see the flame again). In both cases it worked really well, with lower set year 8 i skipped the equations, with year 10 they did word and balanced symbol equations. Both year groups found the sheet really useful :)

#### Ray Diagrams and Refraction Year 11 Lower Ability

(0)
A resource to help Year 11 Lower ability sets to understand complex ray diagrams and refraction.

#### A Level Physics Booklet - Lesson 2 and 3

(0)
A booklet to give to students in order to help them make notes. My Year 12's love that they are being trained up ready for university. They go alongside the handbook.

#### KS3 Forces (Unit of work)

(0)
Here are a selection of forces lessons ready to go.

#### Year 12 Motion Intro

(0)
A few sheets to help structure you year 12 lessons in Motion. Starter activity included.

#### Chemical Changes: Acids and Alkali

(0)
Set of resources to help with the first few lessons of chemical changes.

#### Endothermic and Exothermic Reactions

(0)
Endothermic and Exothermic reactions suitable for a middle set year 10 group. The lesson is aimed at triple science with lots of small activities. Corresponding exam questions and mark schemes are also attached.

#### PHYSICS - Common 6 mark question booklet, with mark scheme question by question.

(2)
This booklet is aimed at Year 11’s preparing them for their final year exams. With the new specification requiring knowledge of a vast amount of content this booklet has really helped my students breakdown and revise each section of work. The mark scheme allows the students to familiarise themselves with the level of written response expected of them. My students have loved using this booklet and their confidence in answering 6 mark questions has increased substantially. I hope it works for your classes too! (My groups love to peer assess each other when I test them on the questions, everyone wants 6/6)

#### Physics GCSE Required practicals technician notes

(0)
Find a sheet for technicians that is simple and effective. All practicals are numbered, equipment listed and a photo to show the set up. Hope this is useful :)
