GCSE Physics equations

Here is a document that has all the physics equations required for the AQA GCSE course that students need to learn. There are 2 sets per sheet. The equations are split into topics. As a homework i set that students have to find the word equations and units of each symbol. They were also to RAG the equations to help them find the gaps in their knowledge. Hope it helps :)

PHYSICS - Common 6 mark question booklet, with mark scheme question by question.

This booklet is aimed at Year 11’s preparing them for their final year exams. With the new specification requiring knowledge of a vast amount of content this booklet has really helped my students breakdown and revise each section of work. The mark scheme allows the students to familiarise themselves with the level of written response expected of them. My students have loved using this booklet and their confidence in answering 6 mark questions has increased substantially. I hope it works for your classes too! (My groups love to peer assess each other when I test them on the questions, everyone wants 6/6)

Electromagnets (with magnet revision)

This resource was made for my Year 8 class, they loved that the learning mat matched the power point and really felt like they were part of the lesson. The lesson covers magnetic materials (with a code breaker starter), it then moves onto a magnet, asking questions in a show what you know style, then an interactive section on what is attracted to magnets and rules of attraction and repelling. We then talk about electromagnets, what they are, how they work, how we can make them, what we do to increase the strength and lastly where electromagnets are used. I love this lesson and it has gone down a treat with my classes. Hope it works for yours too :)

Focuses on getting students familiar with the scale. I did this the lesson after neutralisation, it lets the kids get involved in competition and instils the pH scale into their heads.
