Since completing a degree in computer science, I went on to teaching and have done this for many years. I am now working in a secondary school teaching computer science to KS4. Over the years I have developed resources that I have used in the classroom and know how difficult it can be to find suitable resources. I thought it would be great to share these.

Being new to app creation as well as the year 6 class I was teaching, I decided to make a step by step of instructions using PowerPoint. This worked brilliantly, it really is a beginners guide for them. It is to make a Ratatouille information app about the film but you can adapt this PowerPoint to suit your needs. I hope you find this useful as much as I did.

A nice PowerPoint on how to create a professional email. Could also be used in a literacy lesson. This was used in a recent ICT lesson workshop as well as an English functional skills lesson. This PowerPoint provides information on the difference between informal and formal emails, how you start an email as well as ending an email. As this is a PowerPoint, you can adapt it to your own lessons. I hope you will find this useful. Kathy's ICT Resources.
