Since completing a degree in computer science, I went on to teaching and have done this for many years. I am now working in a secondary school teaching computer science to KS4. Over the years I have developed resources that I have used in the classroom and know how difficult it can be to find suitable resources. I thought it would be great to share these.

I developed a scheme of work for ICT functional skills, I used this for two years. Each lesson was developed by myself and worked perfectly with my students in college (16 - 18 year olds). The scheme of work is in a word document, so you can adapt this to your own classroom. There are 15 lessons all together within the scheme of work. I have provided a few of the powerpoints to support the SOW. In your download file you will have 7 files only altogether. I hope you find this helpful. Download includes : 1 x Scheme of work PowerPoints to support the SOW. Making the most of your computer Managing Information x 2 PowerPoints Excel basics Working with structured data Working with numbers and charts If you are looking for the complete course, then please visit this link : https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/ict-functional-skills-scheme-of-work-with-all-lessons-level-1-and-2-12361245

A nice PowerPoint on how to create a professional email. Could also be used in a literacy lesson. This was used in a recent ICT lesson workshop as well as an English functional skills lesson. This PowerPoint provides information on the difference between informal and formal emails, how you start an email as well as ending an email. As this is a PowerPoint, you can adapt it to your own lessons. I hope you will find this useful. Kathy's ICT Resources.
