Steven Traugh is an award-winning composer, author, and music educator. He has been an arts education consultant for the National Endowment for the Arts, PBS, J. Paul Getty Museum Arts in Education Council, UCLA, and the Los Angele Music Center. Steven holds BA and MA degrees in music from West Virginia University. Along with his wife, Susan Traugh, he has published over 250 education titles including Mother Goose Brain Boost, Music & Movement in the Classroom Series, Phonics Fun Series, Voices of American History Series, Emergent Reader Series. Steven appeared on the Today show with Barbara Walters, The Sunday Show, Steps to Learning and an Emmy Award-winning segment of Romper Room. He was both performer and ethnomusicology consultant for the sound track of the Disney feature film, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” As a music educator for over 40 years, Steven taught specialized curricula to toddlers through PHD candidates.
