Sheet 1 is a black and white basic room and each sheet after that adds something such as colour, decorations, pictures, slippers etc. Finally sheet 10 is the finished bedroom. A good activity is to go from sheet 10 backwards and see if children can spot what has been taken away. Children can use the black and white picture to build up / make a bedroom of their own. They can use fabrics, collage materials or paints/felts to decorate the room. Children could go on to write about Laura, whose bedroom this is, what can they tell about Laura just from observation?
