A lesson analysing a descriptive extract taken from the Roald Dahl classic; Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. This resource contains three basic steps: step 1 define terminology, step 2 identify and analyse the use of adjectives and step 3 creation of an analytical response. All necessary resources are attached including structure strips and a differentiated handout of the extract. Successfully taught for an observation to a mixed ability Y7 but contains skills relevant for majority of KS3 and could be altered to be used with KS4 particularly AQA Language Paper 2 Q5.
