I am a head of year in a school and attached is my NPQML. My project was on improving attendance for Y11 pupils to increase attainment. I achieved 32/32. I did my project with Learners First. I found looking at other NPQML’s helpful to help understand what was required for the write up at each section. I hope this helps you.

Lesson for the Eduqas new spec Religious Studies course. This is for paper 1 the issues paper and for the topic of life and death issues. Students look at the difference between religion and science with regards to creation but also at intelligent design. You need a copy of the Eduqas text book to complete some of the activities in this lesson.

Death and the Afterlife Christianity - Eschatology and Judgment

(1)
Powerpoint and resources for a lesson on what Christians believe about eschatology and judgement with sections on end of the world beliefs. Idea is to prepare students for exam and I have planned this with Y11 in mind but could suit any KS4 group. There is a large emphasis on Bible quotes and parables to get students those higher marks. Hope you find it useful.

Assembly designed for Y11 but could be used with Y12 or Y13 on revision techniques. Start with a memory game and then go through the different techniques. Video linked also from radio 1 about improving memory for exams and I had a song playing as they walked in which is also linked.

Y11 Welcome Back Motivational assembly

This is an assembly I planned to welcome back Y11. The aim is to encourage them to think of the road ahead and even though it is going to be difficult to never give up. I used the examples of two students one who had no problems during his school life and passed but one student who did but still passed. Great video as well to show them about never giving up.

GCSE Religious Studies lesson on JESUS

This was planned for the Eduqas spec with a focus on an exam question. It is a 15 marker exam question which is a statement question and then arguing for and against. The question is ‘Jesus was just an ordinary man’. It worked really well and helped recap knowledge on Jesus whilst also practising for an exam question. You could adapt and change this to suit other boards.

Flip learning lesson with exam practice. Give students the section of the textbook (see PDF) and to read for homework. Then next lesson they have already learnt about Diwali from the homework. Go through new learning on other Hindu festivals. Students then plan out an answer with the structure provided to a 15 mark exam question and then peer assess using mark scheme. Worked really well with my Y11’s Use this link for the videos if it doesn’t work on the powerpoint -
