This is an assembly I planned to welcome back Y11. The aim is to encourage them to think of the road ahead and even though it is going to be difficult to never give up. I used the examples of two students one who had no problems during his school life and passed but one student who did but still passed. Great video as well to show them about never giving up.

Idea is to prepare students for exam and I have planned this with Y11 in mind but could suit any KS4 group. There is a large emphasis on Bible quotes and parables to get students those higher marks. Started teaching health and social care after some time off from it but picked it up from a teacher who has left so I'm half way through a unit. This is Unit 5 Level 2 - promoting health and wellbeing. The lesson is an introduction to learning aim b with a focus on smoking. There are 3 videos which are old adverts I saved but powerful at looking at whether these work to help stop people smoking. Then a worksheet for them to do and then finally a task to look at the distinction aspect of evaluating the strategies used to address stop smoking. This is all a preparation lesson to then get them ready to complete the tasks.
