A double lesson (I taught it over 2 hours) which introduces the concept of lifestyle magazines and explores the use of media language on two ‘unseen’ magazine covers. This lesson is an introduction to the study of Pride and GQ for Eduqas GCSE media.

Media Regulation - Livingstone and Lunt
A lesson which explores media regulation as a concept and looks at some media products which have been complained about and banned in the UK. The lesson also focuses on Livingstone and Lunt’s theory of regulation, breaks down and evaluates the ideas of the theory. The lesson focuses on the set TV products for Eduqas A level Media Component 2 but can be very easily adapted to focus on any other media products or industries.
Makes use the the Eduqas A Level year 2 text book.
Conflict in Romeo and Juliet
A lesson and essay aimed at top set year 8 students analysing Shakespeare's presentation of conflict in Romeo and Juliet.
The Sweeney - Contexts - Eduqas GCSE Media
A simple lesson which introduces relevant contexts before watching the first episode. This includes some small tasks and links to YouTube videos. Also makes use of extracts from the Life on Mars DVD.

Tide Advertising - Context and Audience - Eduqas A Level Media
Between 2-3 detailed lessons based on Eduqas A Level media studies; an introduction to 1950s advertising and marketing and the set product Tide. Lessons include a focus on context and audiences. All relevant areas of the theoretical framework are covered!

Late Night Woman's Hour - Eduqas A Level Media
A full SoW on this set product for Component 1 Section B which explores: context, industry and audience and includes exam style questions throughout the lessons which are NOT SAMS (the SAMS mark scheme can be used as a guide for marking these).
