I have been teaching Spanish from year 7 to year 13 students since 2009. I love creating resources to make students more engaged in lessons and to help them retain what the y learn for longer. I am from Alicante and live and work currently in the UK.

two games - Spanish present tense - regular verbs

(0)
These games allow students to practice the endings for the regular verbs in the present tense in Spanish. Please print out both pages and laminate them back to back, so you have two games together. The rules for the games are included in the PDF. Although you can simply print it out and ask students to use different colour pens, I laminated both games back to back and use board markers. It saves printing it out all the time. I have had mine for years. It is aimed at KS3 students. Enjoy!

classroom commands Spanish - frases de clase

PDF with four sheets with the phrases used by the student in the classroom and the ones used by the teacher; two sheets have the full commands in Spanish and English and an image and two have gaps for the students to fill them in. It also contains a list of commands with their translation (no images this time) and a good number of posters with a selection of commands (images and writing) for the teacher to hang in the classroom.

Game to practise the preterite tense - preterito - in Spanish

I made this game to help students practice the preterite tense in Spanish. I made a copy for every 4 students, cut it all out, glued both sides of the cards together and laminated it all. The game includes the board game, the cards (for regular and irregular verbs) and the instructions in English. It is all in a PDF document, so it does not change the format / font. My students really like it. They can play for hours and they can decide whether they want to go for a regular or an irregular verb, getting different amount of points if they get it right. Each player uses a different colour clip to move on the board and you will also need a die. The theme is also the Romans, so they get the idea that it happened a while ago (past).

Pelicula Ferdinand - Film - Study Guide

A 26-page PDF study guide about the film Ferdinand. It is divided in three parts so students can watch 30 minutes, do activities, 30 minutes, do activities and so on. It is aimed at KS3 students with a good level of Spanish but it could be used with KS4 students too. It has a large variety of activities and images to illustrate the ideas, from translation into Spanish to more creative exercises such as making a poster against bullfighting. It also explores the world of bullfighting with simple language: the outfit used by the matador, a list of ideas for and against bullfighting that students have to clasify, the parts of a bullfight, a bit of history on the art of bullfighting, etc. All three parts in which the movie is evenly split contain comprehension questions. All exercises are both in Spanish and in English to help understanding. My students loved it! :)

viva libro 2 vocabulary

This PDF contains a vocabulary mat (2 pages for each Module apart from Module 4 that has 3) that can be printed double sided. It goes with Viva Libro 2 (Spanish). It can be printed on A3. It contains all the vocabulary listed at the end of every module and some grammar points and pronunciation tips. Each grid has a number that shows which unit that vocabulary list belongs to. It is very useful for students to have a copy at home and one stuck in their book for when they revise the content of that module. The document has a total of 11 pages.

Spanish Tenses - Tiempos verbales -GCSE and Alevel

35-page booklet that includes a very quick explanation to all main tenses in Spanish language. It includes the subjunctive. The coloured coded system helps students associate a tense to a colour. I sometimes get students to highlight the verbs in their writing following these colours, so they can visually see if they have enough present, past, future, conditional, etc. I have also created a display in the classroom following these system. They really enjoy using it to revise for their GCSE and even Alevel exams.
