A comprehensive booklet that guides pupils to create a text based adventure game. A PowerPoint is also included to introduce the project to students and allow them to begin their designs. The bundle also includes a staff booklet with an example version of the program that the students will be creating. Detailed examples of Python constructs in the booklet allow students to build their programs independently and debug efficiently.
A Python programming how-to guide to help solve a variety of the most common errors students make, with multiple solutions offered for each error to ensure a robust coverage of the different ways it could be solved. The first PowerPoint that covers a multitude of syntax errors and offers explanations and possible solutions. The second PowerPoint in the bundle covers more complex errors that are seen when pupils are programming in Python with all possible solutions to solve them. The resources are designed so that they could be printed, laminated and used as error flashcards in the classroom to help pupils resolve their own issues and work more independently, at the same time as being suitable for classroom displays or as online resources for the pupils to access while working at home where teacher guidance is minimal.
