La Belle Dame Sans Merci Revision Notes

(0)
6 pages of revision notes on the poem La Belle Dame Sans Merci by John Keats. The notes are broken down into 10 subsections: -Context/ background -Outline of the story -In depth analysis in the form of poem annotations -The Structure of the Poem -Understanding Keats' message -Themes of La Belle Dame Sans Merci -A feminist perspective on La Belle Dame -Looking at the poem through the lens of tragedy -Applying theories to La Belle Dame Sans Merci -Thoughts after studying (discussion and unanswered questions) The notes are written for the AQA English Literature A-level B, but there are no specific references to exam questions so this could be used for any board. There are no interactive features of this resource (apart from the rhetorical questions at the end), the information is given in a comprehensive way. Apologies for any mistakes you may find - I've checked through several times but typos may still be lurking! I've made many GCSE poetry revision guides, PowerPoints and lessons which can be found along with more English and History Resources in my shop -- https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/lydiafirth

Dulce Et Decorum Est Revision

A PowerPoint presentation that talks through the poem Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen. Included in the PowerPoint is: -Analysis of Language -Context -A slide about Pope as early versions of the poem were written for her -Meaning of the title -Structure -Attitudes themes and ideas -Rhyming scheme -Poetic Techniques There is one link included and it leads to a dramatisation of the meeting between Owen and Sassoon during WW1 which is followed by a reading of the poem. This has been added purely as a break for students as revising poems can be quite heavy handed. Look out for more of the poems in the WJEC anthology book for 2017 coming out soon. Short Biography of J.B Priestley

Short Biography of J.B Priestley

(0)
A short one page biography of J.B. Priestley's life and political views. It mostly focuses on his political views and writing but there are sections on his early life. This would be best used so a class can understand J.B. Priestley a little bit better. It would also be good to use this so kids can understand why he was a socialist and his reasons for writing An Inspector Calls. Please feel free to edit and leave a review, sorry for anything you find that is incorrect.
