Movies That were Books First Reading Display

Movies That were Books First Reading Display

31 examples of books that have been turned into popular films to get your students into reading. This would make an amazing wall display with a title and subheading included in the package! I would use this as a challenge to my students by asking them their favourite film on the display and asking them to read it by the end of the year. At the end of the year get them to write a review and use the same display the next year with reviews! Some examples of the book adaptations included are: -Jurassic Park -Die Hard -Trainspotting -The Social Network -The Silence of the Lambs -Mrs. Doubtfire I have aimed this resource at lots of different age groups so if you are using this at a primary school please check to make sure all of the titles are appropriate (For example: The Silence of The Lambs), there are, however, lots titles that are appropriate for primary level like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Please feel free to leave a comment if you liked it or if you have any constructive criticism! Pin the Nazi Ideal on the Woman - Nazi Women game

Pin the Nazi Ideal on the Woman - Nazi Women game

A fun game to help students revise or learn the Nazi ideals of a woman. There are 19 statements included, half are Nazi the other half are "Notzi", the class have to decide which woman the statement belongs in. Then one student tries to pin it on the correct woman wearing a blind fold. For a simpler game the "Notzi" woman and statements could be taken out. A simple power point presentation split in to thirds: -1/3 - an overview of the exam -2/3 - exam paper one tasks and explanation -3/3 - exam paper two tasks and explanation. The power-point has links to the two articles I have used in the presentation. I take no credit for a section on the last third as I found it online. Feel free to edit for your own needs Update 12/02/2017 --> this power point does not follow the new specification of 2017 and is the old version of the same exam. Updates will come later in the year as I teach the new specification to my students.
