London William Blake Lesson

(0)
A lesson on the poem London by William Blake which talks students through the poem in detail. I have included lots of information and help in order to make the resource work for both higher and lower level students. The lesson contains lots of thinking time for students in order to get them thinking about the poem individually rather than being told. The power-point does not follow any exam board specification but I have done many resources that follow the WJEC spec. Included in the booklet and The Powerpoint is: -Starter -Analysis of Language -Context -Meaning of the title -Structure -Attitudes themes and ideas -Rhyming scheme -Plenary I have made many resources for the poems in the WJEC Anthology book so if you are looking for revision materials I have guides and power-points in my shop for each resource. There are also lessons for each poem similar to this one. Please follow the link to my shop if you are interested in these resources. Note - the cover slide and plenary uses the same slide, pictures that relate to the poem. The cover slide is for date, title and LO whereas in the plenary I ask students to explain why each picture relates to the poem. Please leave any constructive criticism or positive feedback below and apologies for any mistakes or inaccuracies you may find. Movies That were Books First Reading Display

(0)
31 examples of books that have been turned into popular films to get your students into reading. This would make an amazing wall display with a title and subheading included in the package! I would use this as a challenge to my students by asking them their favourite film on the display and asking them to read it by the end of the year. At the end of the year get them to write a review and use the same display the next year with reviews! Some examples of the book adaptations included are: -Jurassic Park -Die Hard -Trainspotting -The Social Network -The Silence of the Lambs -Mrs. Doubtfire I have aimed this resource at lots of different age groups so if you are using this at a primary school please check to make sure all of the titles are appropriate (For example: The Silence of The Lambs), there are, however, lots titles that are appropriate for primary level like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Please feel free to leave a comment if you liked it or if you have any constructive criticism!
