A full weeks Literacy plan for the story “The Enormous Turnip” which ties in beautifully with the topic of Growth.

Based on the version by Nick Sharratt, this weekly plan has been created all ready for my Reception class for the first week in Spring term 2 when we return from our half term break. This should be a fun start to our topic of "Growth."

Introduce a non-fiction book to your class relating to the exciting topic of space.

A sheet for the Early Years which has some animal pictures on of animals which are phonetically plausible. Beside the pictures, children can write the initial sound or the full CVC word. I have used this as a starter activity during the morning when children come into the classroom. Also great as a form of assessment when completed independently.
