This is a worksheet that I created for the more able children in my class when working on the Y4 Objective, Identify acute and obtuse angles and compare and order angles up to two right angles by size. Children have to identify angles as they plot a route the diver takes to feed Bruce the Shark. They have to order the angles that they have created. Answer sheet provided.

I created this worksheet for the more able children in my class during a block of work on problem solving (linked to our topic on the Blue Abyss) The children enjoyed working out which submersible was most suitable for the dive - most of those who attempted the worksheet solved the problem without creating the three tables!

This exercise tests children’s number skills and helps them to improve their knowledge of the UK’s cities and towns. Worksheets and a Powerpoint file are included as well as all answers. This resource was created for Year 4, but the questions can be edited to make it suitable for children from Year 3 - Year 6. This is a Christmas version of one of my Maths Challenges, suitable for children working at greater depth (some of the questions are suitable for children working at expected). Children have to calculate and order the perimeter of the reindeer fields (rectilinear shapes). The children also have to draw a rectilinear field for Rudolph that is twice the size of Prancer’s field (it must have exactly 10 sides). Answers included.
