This package includes 2 separate slideshows: Part A: Includes a brief introduction to what report writing is. Students can complete a mini research activity (as a small group or independently) on a variety of animals (12!). The lesson starts with discussing the importance of using factual information in a report writing and students can complete a mini warm-up activity where they are to determine whether the presented information is a fact or lie. Again, this can be completed as a whole group (in class or virtually) or given to students as small group or independent. Part B: Students will demonstrate their knowledge of report writing and complete a report using a PowerPoint template. The template requires students to explore their chosen animal’s habitat, appearance, life cycle, as well as explain WHY they chose their selected animal.
