I've been an art and design educator for over 7 years. Working in both the UK and internationally. I believe it is incredibly important to nurture globally-minded students who are able to communicate visually and apply critical thinking to the art and media we all consume daily. All resources are set in a font legible for dyslexic students, avoidance of black text on white is for the same reason, the worksheets still print well printed in grey scale.

Gallery museum trip resource

This gallery guide is to be used for any gallery or museum worldwide. The guide asks students to be intentional with their visit/trip and talks students through looking at a piece, giving them space to jot down thoughts and notes. The guide reminds students to make thumbnail sketches of the overall composition and complete one long study. There is space to add any additional tasks on the front page. For example, if you want them to create at least three studies, I would tell them to write that instruction in the blank space on the front whilst on the bus/coach/train. My students have found this most useful as a reminder of their purpose for being there.
