Presentation and worksheets for a lesson on asexual reporduction and comparing this with sexual. Video clips included and the final slide is a plenary where you split the class into groups of approx 6/7 pupils and give each group a different coloured pen. They take it in turns to come up and write a keyword under the titles (no repeats!) the coloured pen with the most correct words at the end of the song wins!
Pupils use the evidence packs to work out the answers to a series of questions. I usually give groups one of each piece of evidence in a plastic wallet and they must answer the questions about what was happpening on Broad Street
Pupils learn about Darwins journey by travelling around the 'Galapagos Islands' around your classroom: on each island there are finches - represented by different kitchen tongs, and food, represented by jelly worms, large fruit, nuts and seeds etc. They must decide which tong belongs on which island dependant on the food
They then match up the actual bird picture against the island,
