All resources needed for the lesson are attached as separate handouts or put at the beginning of the powerpoint. There is a carousel activity included; you will need to print out the information sheets and stick them round the room before your lesson. 2 lessons covering The Sign of Four Chapter 2. This is an AQA English Literature GCSE set text. Page numbers refer to the Penguin English Library edition of the text (the one with the tiger print on the front cover). One lesson involves creating an investigation/crime board. This takes time to prepare, but it was well worth it -even my difficult 10 set 3s enjoyed it. All the images needed are included. You’ll need to cut them out, and each student needs one copy of each image. They will need glue and rulers to create it. I also recommended using red pen to draw the lines between the clues. Any feedback/comments/queries, please leave a comment. Lastly, if you used or liked the resource, please leave a comment and review!

Hound of the Baskervilles: Chapter Two

Originally designed for a year 8 class. This lesson involves a ‘create your own investigation board’ task, which my students enjoyed. It does involve some prep ahead of time in regards to printing and potentially cutting out (or you can get the students to do this!) Students will need to stick the images in their book (so gluesticks are required). They should have one image each for each clue. These images are included at the beginning of the powerpoint. All images required are included. Please comment with any feedback / errors / questions.
