These are the PowerPoints that I rolled out to my school as part of my role as whole school Literacy co-ordinator. The task on each PowerPoint should last about 25 minutes; the remainder of the lesson spent reading for enjoyment. Within each PowerPoint you have a differentiated task for year 7,8 &9. A simple resource

I created this report to support staff in dealing with low level behaviour issues in the classroom. The points can be amended depending on how many lessons you have the student per week, but the general idea is that the students have the incentive to save themselves from obtaining an after school detention based on the points that they achieve each lesson. For example I did: 5 points per lesson, 3 lessons per week. Students had a target of 12 points per week; anything below that they were issued with an after school detention. Staff can deduct the points how they seem fit.

A handy revision resource that goes through some quick common errors that students make in exams. This is beneficial to most subjects, especially the ones that pick up the extra marks for spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG) in the final exams.

The 1st PowerPoint can be delivered in a number of ways and there are many questions based around the main characters that enable learners to empathise with them. The 2nd PowerPoint then focuses on the female characters and the planning and writing of an empathetic response. This could possibly be used over 3 lessons.
