GCSE Physics - Particle Motion in Gases Lesson plan and presentation

(0)
A lesson plan and presentation covering particle motion in gases. There is also a formula test sheet for the plenary. This lesson covers Amonton's Law, better known as Gay-Lussac's Law and the relationship between pressure and temperature for a fixed volume of gas. It also includes a demonstration I designed to show the increase in pressure from the increase of temperature for a fixed volume of gas without relying on a pressure sensor. GCSE Physics Energy, Charge and Potential Difference calculations

(0)
A scaffolded worksheet of 10 questions to help students practice using E=QV. This worksheet takes them through how to lay out calculations and rearrange them using the triangle method. There is also a tricky question at the end that links back to prior learning using Q=It as well. Answers included!

Energy changes due to temperature (specific heat capacity) Lesson plan and presentation

(0)
A lesson plan and presentation to cover the energy changes in a system and specific heat capacity part of the new GCSE (2016) Physics and AQA Trilogy specification. Refers to required practical 1 - a FREE worksheet for this is also available from me, made from the AQA required practical document. Introduces specific heat capacity and then provides time for students to reflect on required practical.
National and Global energy resources lesson presentation and plan

National and Global energy resources lesson presentation and plan

(0)
A complete lesson for completing section 4.1.3 National and global energy resources of the AQA (2016) specification for Physics and Trilogy. This is a web quest based lesson where students work in groups either as jigsaw/home groups or envoys or pairs to research about different energy resources. Covers renewable/non-renewable resources and their environmental impact.

GCSE Physics - Power, voltage and current calculations

(0)
A structured worksheet to take students through using the GCSE Physics equations P=VI. It starts off with 5 questions using it in the P=VI format then there are 4 further questions using the formula in a rearranged format. The final question is a tough one that requires linking knowledge from other formula, notably E=VQ and Q=It, both of which they need to know.
