I have been a teacher for four years and enjoy creating resources for all different lessons and topics - I prefer English though!

2 lessons on earthquake proof structures. Used with my Year 3 class for our topic on Volcanoes and Natural Disasters. They aren’t the most exciting lessons but I struggled to find content to help me so hopefully this will help someone else get started on a similar topic! Adding in children doing their own research on ipads/computers may make it a little more exciting!

I made my own ‘Reading Champion’ certificate as I wasn’t keen on the ones online - I hope you like it too! I use mine with my Y3 class to celebrate them moving up a bookband or RWI level.

Five lessons exploring colour towards a final piece inspired by Andy Warhol’s ‘Vesuvius’. I used this with my Year 3 class as our topic was volcanoes and natural disasters. The kids loved it. The third lessons PP is short but I printed 4 photos of each child (on the same sheet) so they could use contrast colours and create a pop art piece.

Pebble in my Pocket VIPERS Question Bank

A PowerPoint with a range of VIPERS questions for Pebble in my Pocket. I have created questions for vocabulary, inference, prediction, explain, retrieval and summarise questions with answers. I have also added some examples of different question types that I use in my lessons (multiple choice, true/false). I struggled to find planning help with this book so I hope it is helpful! I used this book with my Y3 class.

Pebble in my Pocket First Week Lessons

My first week of lesson slides (4 days - it was a short first week back!) for The Pebble in my Pocket. It is a week exploring the book with lessons on predicting, using adjectives, using art to explore vocabulary and a drama-type lesson. The children were all given their own pebble. We used the vocabulary we built in this week to go on to write our own stories about our own pebbles.
