AQA A Level Sociology- revision- ethnicity and crime

(0)
A revision sheet to be used particularly for weaker students- structured revision of ethnicity and crime. Students can complete from memory and then complete using their notes/ textbooks. I also ask students to add evaluation points in another colour/ use post it notes. Activity would take approximately 30 mins or could be set as homework to consolidate learning.

Sociology A Level- Crime Retrieval Grid- AQA

A retrieval grid which is good for revision. The questions are differentiated. Students can spend 20 minutes answering as much as they can without notes and then use a different coloured pen to complete the reminder using their notes/ textbook. Answers for each are included on the second page.

Sociology A Level- Theories of the Family- Revision

Print this sheet on to A3 paper, and students can fill in what they know on each of the theories from memory as revision. When they’ve done all they can from memory- students can use their class notes/ textbooks to complete the rest. You could follow with an exam question.

AQA Sociology AS- Learning sociologists grid- A3 sheet

I give this to AS students when revising for the exam- I recommend that they learn the names of 25 sociologists that they can refer to in the exam. So this becomes a crib sheet that they make their notes on and use to test themselves and each other.

AQA Sociology- Retrieval- Theories of Family

(0)
A retrieval activity- a list of 9 sociologists printed and given to the students on theories of the family- students identify which theory they belong to and what their key ideas are. Students can complete from memory, but can use notes/ textbook if needed. I’ve included the answers on a PPT to share with students to improve their work. I’d give students 15-20 mins for the task, 10 mins for feedback.

AQA A Level Psychology- Relationships Retrieval Pyramid

(0)
Retrieval pyramid for the relationships topic. It is differentiated- the questions get harder as your go further up the pyramid. I’ve integrated some issues and debated and reserach methods questions as well. Answers are included on the second page. Give students 20 mins to complete, and then 10 mins to feedback answers. Good for a revision task- students can then do further revision on the areas they couldn’t answer.
Research Methods Retrieval- AQA Psychology

Research Methods Retrieval- AQA Psychology

(0)
A scenario followed by 8 questions that require students to apply their knowledge of year 12 research methods. The second page of the document has the answers which could be shared with students after completing the task for them to self assess. Good revision task- would give the students 20 minutes to complete. Made for AQA but could be used with any exam board.

Research Methods Retrieval Pyramid- A level AQA Psychology

10 questions that increase in difficulty on the research methods topic. Allows students to retrieve information on the topic as well as being differentiated. I’d allow 20 minutes for the activity- answers are included on the second slide. Created for A Level AQA and for use with year 12 students part way through the research methods module.

GCSE Psychology- Factors affecting perception A3 sheet

(0)
One A3 sheet for students to work through independently when completing the topic/ revising for the exam. All points are taken from the specification. Students can first of all see how much they can do from memory, and then use their notes/ textbook to help complete. It would take approximately 30 mins to complete.

Psychology A Level AQA- Relationships revision- A3 sheet

A double sided A3 sheet which covers all the relationships theories. Each area of the specification is in different colours to help students group them together. I’ve included key terms to help guide student note taking. You could use it in a one hour lesson- students could fill in as much as they can from memory and then use notes/ textbook to complete the rest.

Double sided A3 sheet- first side has a recap of Milgrams study of obedience- with images. The second side has all the explanations for obedience with space for students to write AO1 and AO3 points. I’ve filled some bits in. You could use this in a one hour revision lesson- students can fill in what they know from memory and use their notes or textbook to do the rest.
