Assistant headteacher in a primary school as well as the Year 4 class teacher. As a school, we pride ourselves in our creative approach to teaching and learning. One of my primary areas of focus in the school has been coverage of the foundation subjects. I have written the school progression maps, embedded a robust assessment system for foundation subjects and am currently finalising the accompanying schemes of work. Everything we use in the school is written by myself or other staff members and this has allowed us to keep our creative flare as well as ensuring that we are delivering the 2014 National Curriculum (and R.S.E & local R.E framework) in a fun and engaging manner that matches the ethos of the school. I am also currently: the staff governor, chair of the PTA, GDPR officer, history lead, geography lead, computing lead, KS2 lead and a university mentor. Prior to this I have been: Year R teacher and foundation stage lead, Year 2 teacher and Science lead.
