#### Mathematical Pictionary Game

(27)
I have created a Mathematics version of Pictionary. Encouraging mathematical language. To create the game cards I just printed off the slides (4 on a page) and then double sided them and laminated. They work great in class - especially for revision with Year 11s. For more info on the game see my blog post http://mrcollinsreflectivejournal.blogspot.com/2011/12/mathematical-pictionary.html I hope your classes enjoy.

#### Simultaneous Equations Starter/Plenary

(6)
I used this question as a starter to consolidate learning of simultaneous equations with a top set year 10 class. Would work well as a plenary too? The question gets the students to form the simulatenous equations 1st based on a worded question using the characters from Finding Nemo!

#### Statistical Diagram Templates

(8)
I have put together a set of templates for the diagrams students need to draw. In my experience they moan and groan about having to draw these and so these templates provide as a solution to this, and also differentiate for those that need help drawing the diagrams. Here I have a Pie Chart, Stem & Leaf, 2-way Stem é Leaf, Mean from Grouped Frequency Table, Frequency Density Table, Box Plot, and a 4 quadrant template. I have printed the required template as a handout so each student has a set of templates to use during the lesson.

#### Physics P2 (Part 7) Mains Electricity

(13)
Here is a powerpoint I used with my Year 11 tutees to revise with them their P2 exam (part of the AQA Science Double Award). This is part 7 of 10 powerpoints I used - look out for the others! All content is linked directly to the AQA specification!

#### The Language of Mathematics GCSE exams

(49)
KS4 Vocabulary Here is a revision aid I put together for my Year 11 tutees last year. It was aimed at helping them understand the language of their Mathematics exam; what are they actually asking you to do?!

#### Physics P2 (Part 10) Nuclear Fission & Fusion

(11)
Here is a powerpoint I used with my Year 11 tutees to revise with them their P2 exam (part of the AQA Science Double Award). This is part 10 of 10 powerpoints I used - look out for the others! All content is linked directly to the AQA specification!

#### KS3 / GCSE Metric / Imperial Conversions Poster

(20)
KS3 / GCSE. Metric/ Imperial. Here's a poster I was asked to create for our Maths classrooms. All metric and imperial conversions the students need to know are on here with details as to how to convert between the measures.

#### Y11 Homework Sheets (B-A* Grade)

(42)
These are the homework sheets I have been using with my top set Y11 class. They cover 10 different topics aimed at them achieving A/A*s in their GCSE examinations. Topics covered: Surds, Bounds, Algebraic Fractions, Probability, Recurring Decimals, Indices, Factorising, Sim Equations + more. For C-B grade h/w sheets see my other resource. http://mrcollinsmaths.blogspot.co.uk Now with answers included!

#### Y11 Higher (C/B Grade) Homework Sheets

(34)
Inspired by http://goo.gl/EUD8Mu I have created 20 Higher Tier h/w sheets for students aiming to get a C/B grade. The sheets alternate between non-calc and calc h/ws and will be used in Term 1 this year. I will then use some B/A grade h/w sheets (watch this space) in Term 2/3. These sheets are aimed at giving students revision of the topics needed to achieve C/B grades in their GCSEs.

#### Physics P2 (Part 2) Forces

(8)
Here is a powerpoint I used with my Year 11 tutees to revise with them their P2 exam (part of the AQA Science Double Award). This is part 2 of 10 powerpoints I used - look out for the others! All content is linked directly to the AQA specification!

#### Physics P2 (Part 6) Electrical Circuits

(8)
Here is a powerpoint I used with my Year 11 tutees to revise with them their P2 exam (part of the AQA Science Double Award). This is part 6 of 10 powerpoints I used - look out for the others! All content is linked directly to the AQA specification!

(2)
This is a template I created for students to create their own Mathematical advent calendar. The idea is that you print off the front sheet, students cut around the dashed lines to open the 'doors&', they then stick this sheet onto a blank piece of the same sized paper. Then, they write mathematical calculations, sums, equations etc on the &';doors', the answers to which will be the numbers 1-25. They then write jokes, fun facts, pictures etc in the &'doors&';. Let me know what you think.

#### Physics P2 (Part 8) Power of Electrical Appliances

(5)
Here is a powerpoint I used with my Year 11 tutees to revise with them their P2 exam (part of the AQA Science Double Award). This is part 8 of 10 powerpoints I used - look out for the others! All content is linked directly to the AQA specification!

#### Area & Perimeter Differentiated Task Board

(5)
KS3 Maths Game targeted at level 4 and level 5. This is a 'Connect Thoughts&' board. The task is played like the &';Connect 4' game where the class choose any 4 tasks to complete in a row. The rows of questions are levelled and is a great way to differentiate, I have found. For more information on how I have used see my blog post... http://mrcollinsreflectivejournal.blogspot.com/2012/01/connect-thoughts.html These can be adapted for any subject/topic RECENTLY UPDATED WITH ANSWERS

#### Averages from a Frequency Table.Worksheet.KS3, 4.

(5)
This is a worksheet I created based on the goals scored of 4 teams in the Premier League during the 2011-2012 season. The class work out the mean, median, mode and range goals scored for each from the frequency tables given. Blank columns are given for the students to use, this could easily be differentiated for lower ability classes.

#### Negative Numbers Resources

(5)
Here are a collection of resources I have used in my lessons on Negative Numbers. There are various activities/tasks for the students to complete on these slides.

#### Physics P2 (Part 1) Speed Distance & Time

(6)
Here is a powerpoint I used with my Year 11 tutees to revise with them their P2 exam (part of the AQA Science Double Award). This is part 1 of 10 powerpoints I used - look out for the others! All content is linked directly to the AQA specification!

#### Algebraic Codebreaker Activity Worksheet

(4)
Here is an idea I got from Paul Ginnis' &'Teachers Toolkit&';. The codebreaker task gets students to use their algebraic knowledge to crack a code. I put the code up on the IWB and hand out envelopes in groups of the equations for the groups to work on. Each letter corresponds to a number. Code revealed is 'Focus, Learn, Achieve&'.

#### Venn Diagram & HCF/LCM Starter

(6)
Here's a starter task I created using Batman & Superman and Shrek é Donkey. The idea is for the class to use a Venn Diagram to compare the 2 superheroes/characters. I have used this as a starter to finding the HCF and LCM of 2 numbers as well as a starter to teaching Venn Diagrams

#### ppt template for Lesson Objective and title

(8)
'Sky Sports News&' style pwoerpoint slide. Here is a powerpoint I have created to communicate to my classes their learning objectives, key words, homework, lesson aim etc all on one slide. I put this up at the start of some of my lessons as the class are coming in. The lesson aim scrolls across the bottom of the screen when the presentation is up. I use a &';slide master' for this ppt and so if you want to change the layout etc it will need to be done on the slide master!
