Gummy Bear Experiment

My students absolutely loved this lesson and learned so much in the process! This experiment is designed to compare what happens to gummy bears when left in 4 different solutions for 48 hours. The experiment was designed to highlight the teaching of the scientific method but can certainly be adapted for other concepts. A matching activity of the scientific method is also included. This lesson would be great with a daily skills high school class, middle school science or any elementary science class.

Functional Science Experiments Bundle

3 Resources
This bundle is a combination of 3 science experiments we use in our life skills science class (students not receiving a diploma). The experiments will get students used to the scientific method and asking questions to develop hypotheses.

Prediction Experiment/Lesson - What Stops an Apple from Browning?

This is a great experiment we've adapted for teaching making quality predictions or hypotheses. Students are given minimal direct instruction and practice which is followed by an experiment regarding what types of products will stop an apple from browning. This is a great prediction experiment because it can easily be done in a 90 minute period and even possible in 45 minutes!! This experiment is editable so feel free to add your own clipart! We hope you enjoy this great experiment to teach predictions.
