FREE The Stick Man Story Workbook - 16 Thinking Hat Worksheets For Fun Creative Reading In Class. The Stick Man is all about a piece of wood which gets taken away by a dog, picked up by a girl and thrown in the river... where he is found by a swan. At each point he is further and further from home and less likely to make it back... this set of worksheets looks at the different Thinking Hat approaches to this book. They will consider facts, feelings, positives, negatives, creative approaches and finally make a mind map. This book does not contain any of the original drawings or text. You still need to find a copy of the book to complete this workbook. I would love feedback on this work.

This resource has been seen over 10,000 times and is one of my most popular teaching resources. The images are not from the book, and you will still need to use the book to complete the reading tasks. I was surprised at how few reading resources were available for Room on the broom, and I am keen to promote Thinking Hat Reading skills in the classroom and so I have spent a week developing a set of worksheets which teachers can download and use in the classroom. Please leave a comment after using them in the classroom.

Book 37:Mit Is Wet (I See Sam Series), Guided Reading Questions and Motivational Reading Certificate

I See Sam Books are a series of early reader books developed to teach children in kindergarten to read. The original series, written in 1972, as part of Southwest Regional Educational Laboratory's (SWRL) Beginning Reading Program (BRP), contained 52 books. I have extended the number of resources. Please visit my I See Sam TES Resources website at http://www.ISeeSam.Online for more. Book 37: Mit Is Wet New Words fat, if, wet - Decodable Plot Summary Mit is at the end of a pier and sees a fish in the ocean. He gets Mat and Sam to help him catch the fish. Mit falls into the water and then Mat does too. Sam rescues them with a net and at the same time hauls in the fish. But the fish is unhappy out of the water, so Mit throws him back into the ocean. Each new word throughout the program is repeated at least five times in the book in which it first appears and five more times in the next ten books. The first book in the series starts with just 3 words: I, see, Sam. Every book or two adds a few words, until by book 52, the readers have read 95 different words. The SWRL Kindergarten Beginning Reading Program was first implemented in U.S. public schools in the early 1970's. Due to its tremendous success at achieving its goal of teaching young children to read, over the years the program has been copied, edited and/or revised by a number of individuals, institutions, and companies.
