Revision placemat activity for Topic 2 Motion and Forces (part 2 as there is too much content in this topic to fit onto 1 placemat! I also have a part 1 available). Covers stopping distance, Newton’s 2nd Law + core practical, Momentum, car safety and force. Triple Science only content it identified (bottom left corner) and covers KE, GPE and Braking distance/energy.
This resource works best when printed out to an A3 size. Pupils can answer the questions and annotate the graphs/diagrams in as much detail as they can to give them a summary of this topic.

It covers the ways in which energy can be transferred by heating (conduction, convection and radiation), defining the term thermal conductivity, the effects of thickness, thermal conductivity and temperature difference on rate of cooling, ways of reducing unwanted energy transfers using thermal insulation and explaining how different ways of reducing energy transfer by heating work.

RE-UPLOADED FREE sample lesson for those teaching GCSE Physics Energy Stores and Transfers. It covers a list of energy stores and energy transfers, transfers between different stores, interpreting diagrams that represent energy transfers and explaining, using examples, that energy is conserved, representing energy transfers using diagrams (Sankey Diagrams) and describing what happens to wasted energy in energy transfers.
