Everything I make is designed to be ready to use, and make your life as easy as possible, while providing your students with the best chance to shine. I aim to reduce your marking load, give your students immediate feedback and give you lessons that are ready to go, all you need to do is a tiny bit of photocopying.

This is part of Maths (The Physics Bits) for Science Students, available in my shop. Versions for each exam board available. This is also available as part of a discount bundle, if you are interested in a number of my resources and want to talk about a custom discount, please get in contact The easy questions are aimed at foundation tier C grade students; these do not require students to rearrange equations or convert non-standard units. The skills involved are identification of the correct numbers to use, correct use of a calculator and correctly method for answering questions. The medium questions are aimed at B grade students; they involve rearranging equations as well as all the skills needed for the easy questions, there is some application of logic and the need for correct use of standard form and significant figures. The hard questions are aimed at A and A* students; they not only require rearranging equations, but a wide variety of non-standard units that need to be converted, combining two or more equations and the application of logic, correct use of standard form and significant figures. Each section has 5 simple calculations in a table format, and then five questions written in exam style. The language used is different in each question (find/calculate/work out/determine) to prepare student for the range of language they will come across in an exam. Each section of 5 written questions gets gradually harder as they go on, to challenge students and encourage them to move on to the next level.

Answering six mark questions in your GCSE is much more than just writing down six correct things. There is a skill to answering them that needs to be practiced. Here I have written 25 questions on each subject, given you the answers and guided you through how to answer to get full marks.

These are end of topic tests; have been written to match (as close as I can) the style of the new exam papers. There are foundation and higher versions, each lasting 45 minutes with fully explained answers. The questions have been clearly and thoughtfully laid out to allow students to show off their knowledge to the best of their abilities. The question ramp as you go through the paper and through the question and a number of maths and multiple choice questions have been included. Estimate grade boundaries have been included. Note - these include questions about making copper sulfate crystals as this unit included no core practicals so I move one. Full SOW preview This is designed so you have to do very little in preparation for the lessons. I hope you will enjoy the free time this gives you and your students will benefit from well thought out and detailed resources. Everything is clearly explained and all answers are provided so non-specialist can teach with confidence. Student self-assessment sheets; I have used these successfully for years in lesson and OFSTED and SLT love them! They show clear progression for students, which can be easily seen by anyone who looks at the books. There are links to resources that students can use at home to improve their understanding if they do not feel confident in a topic. Starter’s; these are designed to give cumulative learning, within a structured format. Each lesson (apart from the first) starts with five questions about content they have covered in previous lessons. This gives students a chance to review knowledge on a continuing basis (hopefully) leading to deeper learning. Homework’s; most of these are on line, so you just have to set it for your class and it gets mark automatically. Otherwise there are investigations and activities that require very little marking from you, allowing you to enjoy your weekend. PowerPoints; have embedded video clips, so you don’t have to find them, answers to all questions and engaging graphics. These have been designed with a clear/non-cluttered style to be friendly to students who have low level of literacy Worksheets; these have been made to accompany each part of the lesson; you can either use the slides or give out the scaffold to help students who need it. The only bits not included are exam board specific practical sheets (notes in SOW) and periodic tables as again these are a specific style for each exam board. This is due to copyright restrictions.

These move from easy to A* The exams have a multiple choice question at the start, every week I'm setting my students 20 questions to train them on how to answer multiple choice questions and give me feedback on what they don't understand. I'm setting this on Edpuzzle, which gives the students immediate feedback on how they have done, and marks the work for me. So my marking load is reduced and the students get timely feedback. So often students lose marks due to tiny mistakes, not mistakes in science but tiny mistakes in how to use a calculator. I made this for my students to help fix some of those problems This workbook will allow your students to practice the most common skills needed in science exams.
