Epistasis - Observation lesson which was graded outstanding Powerpoint contains clear success criteria, scaffolded activities with clear instructions, videos to support students, it is differentiated and contains exam questions with mark schemes. All activities have a slide that contains the answers too. If students do not understand the work, there are supported activities before they move onto the next task, which enables everyone to make their own progress. Students will have to have a knowledge of dihybrid crosses beforehand. Please note, the following is included in the powerpoint: Recessive Epistasis Dominant Epistasis Complementary Gene Action Student feedback has been that they really understood the concept as the lesson was scaffolded and progress was continuously checked before moving onto the next task. Teacher observation feedback indicated clear progression and activities designed carefully which meant the lesson was not teacher led.
