Russian GCSE: Complete Revision and Practice Book
This Complete Revision & Practice Workbook is full of revision and practice for the Edexcel Russian GCSE course.
130 pages.
It contains useful vocab list for all 5 required themes with subtopics, a variety of excercises and grammar notes, as well as exam-style questions, which cover the reading, translation and speaking skills needed for the exam. Learners will also benefit from mock exam tasks for wrtitten examination (shorter and longer essays questions and translation tasks - English into Russian) and speaking examination (10 picture based tasks with sample answers and 10 role play speaking cards).
The book is rounded off with a complimentary 20-page translation activities pack (sentences and short exam-style texts for translating from Russian into English and vice versa).
Answers to most practice questions are included to enable self-study.
Although the book was developed in line with GCSE requirements, it is appropriate for any learners studying Russian towards A2 level and looking to expand and practise their vocabulary on such topics as family, hobby, free time, workday routine, the world around us, travelling, city, village, local area, school, education, future plans, the world around us, global issues, environment.

Russian GCSE Speaking sample card with answers. Identity and Culture 1
This resource can be used in preparation for Russian GCSE speaking exam - a picture-based discussion on a theme.
The file includes a student’s card (that imitates a card that a student will be given at the exam and based on which a discussion with the examiner will follow) and a teacher’s card. Pages 3-4 provide possible answers aimed at achieving the highest grades.
We included the questions that cover a broad spectrum within the chosen theme (ldentity and culture in this worksheet). Sample answers contain grammatical constructions and vocabulary listed in Specification Pearson Edexcel GCSE Russian.
A-level Russian: topic 1 - развитие российского общества
This 17-page workbook covers subtheme 1 ‘Life of the Russian youth (heath, leisure, new technology)’ of the first of the 4 topics - Development of Russian Society/ Развитие российского общества.

We included a variety of syntax structures, coordinating/subordinate common and compound conjunctions, different verbal forms to reflect the exam standard requirements. Many sentences contains a phrase to express an opinion, argument, make a conclusion and/or engage in a dialogue (e.g. I suppose, as far as I know, what do you think).
