I made these tasks for my class to focus on now the SATS are over. They are loving them so far. They love working in groups and presenting to the class. It also creates a healthy bit of competition. Both group tasks involve working collaboratively, budgeting, research , recording information and preparing a presentation. I made this sheet for my class to do as an extension if they finish their work when we do factors. 2 problems to think about and explain their reasoning with a Raymond Briggs theme!

I used this for my mixed year 5/6 class to assess the first week of place value. I chop them up and stick in books- then the child will tick which statements they think they can do in the first column and I tick the second column. There is also a space for next steps. My class found it useful.

This worksheet will asses greater than/less than symbols and understanding of positive and negative numbers I used it with my year 4, 5 and 6s

My class are reading Charlotte’s web, so I created some addition word problems for them based on the book. Hope they are useful to somebody else. There are 3 levels a= 3 digit numbers b= 4 and 5 digit numbers c= 5 and 6 digit numbers with a bit of subtraction thrown in!
