Here are 6 different tasks I made. They are reasoning problems all based on some of the old Nrich maths problems for more able children upper KS2- but all altered and with a Christmas theme. This is a fun activity that keeps the learning going until Christmas and my class are loving these. I may well make some more (if I have time!)

Here is a great Christmas Activity. 15 different ways of saying 'Merry Christmas' from all around the world. The students must read and learn the different phrases, find them in a wordsearch and then use internet to do an online quiz and find out whhich country each phrase is used in Merry christmas

I used the write stuff approach whilst using The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde with my mixed year3/4 class. The children loved the story and the results were amazing- fantastic writing! In my role as DSL I recently created some safeguarding surveys for children , parents and staff to complete. I have also included the covering letter I sent to parents with their survey (obviously I have removed our details. I tried to make the children’s more visually using emojis. I used similar questions and changed them slightly for all 3 stakeholders. Please feel free to change my resources as you require- any questions please ask.

This sheet explains and revises active and passive voice. I made these to help my class to consolidate their understanding of active/passive and now they are using it independently in their writing. There are 3 tasks to complete- it is colourful and visual and gives clear examples of each. I currently teach a very mixed ability year 5 and 6 class and they all found it useful.

My class have been doing the book ‘How to train your dragon’ and a topic on Vikings- Years 4, 5 and 6. To link to this in maths we did these word problems Includes- 3 levels for addition- developing, expcted, greater depth and 3 levels for subtraction- developing, expcted, greater depth The subtraction have some multi step problems included- addition and subtraction

I created these checklist cards as English Coordinator to help embed grammar throughout the school. The children can use them to assess when they have done a piece of writing. I used both the national curriculum and Pie Corbett's progression in writing to put these together. They are very visual and give examples. This is the year 4 one. I found a unit i created with a colleague in 2014. For RE we did a unit called Christian celebrations and Christmas symbols. It includes all our planning, resources etc. Putting it all on here in case it is useful to someone else. Merry Christmas

A peer assessment sheet I made for use in Ks2 There are 2 to a page and sticks easily in to a book

I made this for my classroom and it has been really successful. We have printed it on A3 paper and laminated it and it is displayed in the classroom. During the week, I choose 5 words that lots of the class are getting wrong. Under the tick I write the correct spelling and under the cross some of the incorrect spellings for that word children have used. I hope others find it as useful as my class have.
