My class are reading Charlotte’s web, so I created some addition word problems for them based on the book. Hope they are useful to somebody else. There are 3 levels a= 3 digit numbers b= 4 and 5 digit numbers c= 5 and 6 digit numbers with a bit of subtraction thrown in!

I made this sheet based on the Smugglers Topic/Local History . The children were to choose 1 activity a week to do at home. There are a range of activities from writing and maths to art and cookery. This is a fun activity that keeps the learning going until Christmas and my class are loving these. I may well make some more (if I have time!)

I made this Christmas powerpoint to use for the last 8 days of term. It will be the early morning work but all with a seasonal twist. My class have really enjoyed learning the story of the firebird. Years 3-6. I created this cloze activity to help with the understanding of the story for the SEN children in my class and it was very successful.

I did a 2-3 week unit on the book ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’ by Phillip Pullman. I can’t find my planning- but here are the notebook files I made in case they are useful to anyone else.

I created these sheets with the Year 6 Reading Buddies in my school- so they had a focus of what to write when listening to children read. So it wasn’t always just ‘Well done’ or ‘Good Reading’ It gave them an area of focus. Then some parents asked if they could have it to use at home when they are listening to children read and said it has been helpful. The first sheet is a table to record on and second sheet is a grid to help with comments to write to asses the child’s reading
