5 Bees to display that help remind the children the different stages they can go through before asking the teacher for help. Refer to these at the start of the lesson at the beginning of the year and embed the process into your classroom management. Help your children become more independent by solving problems for themselves.

Think Talk Tell - PSHE / Philosophy questions for Children : Pack 2

Think Talk Tell - PSHE / Philosophy questions for Children : Pack 2 10 interactive whiteboard slides that you can use over a two week period with your class. Think, Talk, Tell is away to get the children to express their opinion, listen to others and respond in a written format in a short amount of time; 5 minutes for each section. Think: I like to display the question or statement and then allow the children to think for a minute. Then I lead a brief discussion. I have included some notes on each slide for the teacher to help spark the debate. Talk : I then allow the children to talk to each other for 5 minutes to share and listen to other people’s opinions. Tell : I then allow 5 minutes for them to write their response. This could be done in their PSHE books or you may have a small separate book for the children to keep throughout the year, for them to refer back to and for you to share with parents, the Head, inspectors. I will be releasing new packs of 10 throughout the summer and next term, so do keep an eye out for those.

Noggle, a bit like Boggle! Instead of making words using letters you try to make the target number using the numbers provided. You can move vertically, horizontally and diagonally and can use any of the four operations. 8 pre made ones and a blank one to create many many more. Even get the children to create them! A fun way to finish a Maths lesson, use as an early morning starter or start of the term. Do check out my other resources including Boggle and follow me on Instagram @mrteachwinchester If you could leave a review after purchase that really does help a lot. Many thanks.

No jargon, no complicated diagrams, just Betty The Yeti! The 2 posters (each one is available in colour and B/W) will help you as a teacher refer to the Power of Yet in class. The 3 bookmarks will act as a reminder to the children , that they are on a journey and just don’t understand something YET. The 2 worksheets can be used in your PSHE sessions to help the children to plan their stepping stones towards their goal. Instagram: @mrteachwinchester

Doodle Doodle Do - Mindfulness Behaviour

Doodle Doodle Do was used in my class to help the children settle as they entered the classroom. I used it straight after break to help them ground themselves before the lessons began. Each Doodle Doodle Do sheet has a daily doodle to draw on a given theme. This pack will see you through 7 weeks of the Autumn term. 6 themes plus one for the children or you to create. Why not put on some mindfulness music from YouTube and let the children settle and prepare for the lessons ahead. Works wonders! Do follow me on Instagram @mrteachwinchester, check out my otehr resources and please do leave a review if you download or purchase. Many thanks!

The children will undertake certain roles to feel like they are still participating in the session. For example, can they see the children who are communicating well with their group , encouraging others and motivating? Just printout and pop in a lanyard. These Doodle Doodle Do sheets are the second pack for the Autumn term. Use them to create calm after a breaktime, lunch or maybe as the children come in during the morning. Each week there is a theme and five boxes for the children to express themselves. Put on some mindfulness music and let the children focus in on something small that will calm them down and prepare their minds for work. Do check out the other pack and my other resources.

New Years Resolutions Good Habits chart - children

A great way to start the Ne Year with you students. Setting goals is not an easy thing to do for anyone let alone children, but as we start the New Year, how about starting small and getting them to consider focusing on good habits; small things they can do each and everyday. This collection of good habit wheels will help them plan and keep an eye on what they have achieved. One sheet stars Betty The Yeti, who I have used for years in teaching to help children have a more positive mindset to improving themselves and taking on challenges. Use these selfie cameras with pegs so children can then peg them to their work if they are proud of what they have done. OR use them with trays so the children can put their work into a specific one, depending on whether they have worked hard on the content, presentation, etc. Do follow me on Instagram for freebies and to share other resources with you.
